Role: Assisting Project Architect, responsible for preparing architectural documentation and coordinating engineering services

Project summary: Complete refurbishment of a 6 story building for comprising; gallery spaces, lecture theaters, nursing training facilities, extensive staff offices (open plan and executive), staff and student amenities, and toilets.

Completion date: April 2013

Project cost: 20.0M

Design philosophy:

  • Create a landmark sustainable building for NSW TAFE Institute
  • Provide state of the art facilities for the new ‘centre for excellence’
  • Respect and express the original brutalist design of the original building
